How You Can Help

When you support Echo House, you make a dream a reality.

Make a Donation

#Since 1964, Echo House has provided services to families in Baltimore City in sensitive and caring ways. The Board of Directors, staff and volunteers join forces with schools, churches, medical and social service providers, civic groups, businesses, and government to offer a wide array of services to low-income citizens in this community.

Over the past five years, our services have doubled in size and we are in the process of funding a new building. We need your help. The new building will cost $3 million. The State of Maryland is planning to give us a total of $1.7 million and the City of Baltimore, Homeless Services Department may give us up to $250,000 over the next two years. Please help us to continue to expand the services that we are providing this community.

Please donate now. You can use our printable Donation Form.

Workplace Giving: Your donation can be automatically deducted from your paycheck when you designate the Echo House Multi-Service Center as your selected charity with The United Way or Combined Federated Campaign (#048).

Gifts of Stocks and Bonds: Gifts may be made in the form of appreciated securities rather than cash, in order to benefit from extra tax advantages. If you itemize deductions on your tax return, you are entitled to a charitable income-tax deduction for the full value of your gift, provided you have owned the securities for more than 12 months. You avoid paying a tax on capital gains, which you would owe if you sold the securities. For gifts of appreciated securities, please contact Janice Lockwood at 410.947.1700.

Matching Gifts: Some companies will match the gifts of employees. Please contact your employer for the form to accompany your gift.

Gifts through Bequest or other forms of Estate Planning: Individuals may wish to make a difference by including the Echo House Multi-Service Center in their estate planning. This can be done by including Echo House in your will, trust, as a beneficiary of a charitable gift annuity or charitable remainder trust, or as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy. For further information, please contact Janice Lockwood at 410.947.1700.

Echo House also accepts donations in the form of food and school supplies for the children.
